Mysportscience.com has had a makeover. The site is easier to navigate, has a news as well as a blog section, will give direct access to courses and a shop. All information about mysportscience including consulting or speaking opportunities, but also publications and bonds is bundled and more compact.
One thing hasn't changed and that is the goal of mysportscience to be a trusted source of information about sport science and sports nutrition. Evidence based information: neutral, balanced and as unbiased as possible.
We are working on another project and this is the further development of mysportscience academy. This will contain lectures and sports nutrition courses for professionals but also for athletes. These courses will live on www.mysportscienceacademy.com. As soon as more information is available about this project, you can find the information here and various social media channels but the safest way is to set up and account with mysportscienceacademy and/or register to receive the newsletter. We will minimise sending emails, so you will not be bombarded and will only receive emails a fe times a year with changes to the website.
The academy platform will give access to various lectures including some new ones and you will be notified when there is something new.
What is new?
NEW LAYOUT Obviously the look has changed. A clean, simple, straightforward and no-nonsense look is in line with what mysportscience stands for.
MOBILE FRIENDLY The new web site is easier to access on mobile phones although we still recommend to read especially the infographics on a tablet or laptop/desktop.
FASTER The new webs site should be faster as well. a more modern platform mis used Tod deliver content and images faster.
ESTIMATED READING TIME At the top of every blog an estimated reading time is giving. We try to keep all blogs in reading time of about 3 min, some may be a bit longer some a little shorter.
RSS feed An RSS feed is added, so you can stay up to date with all changes to the web site and will be aware every time something new is posted.
NEWS SECTION The main difference is that there now is a news section. The blogs with infographics have been a central part of the web site but the news section is added to let you know about conferences, new findings, interesting ventures, athletes, practical examples of science to practice and so on.
SHOP Although some version of a shop has always been there, the new shops should make things easier for everyone. If you are looking to purchase infographics or lectures for teaching or other purposes, this should be easy now. There are some infographics in Spanish and Portuguese as well, and I hope to develop some more materials in different languages. The shop also has links for the 2 most sold books.
Thank you for supporting mysportscience and helping to spread the word, help to get the evidence based information out there and fight pseudoscience and other nonsense!
